What this version does today
- Barn agenda & conflict-safe scheduling: Schedule an owner, horse, farrier, work type, and time slot. Rescheduling protects slots from overlapping visits.
- Multi-horse barn boarding: Group horses by barn facility and paying owner, with gate codes, breed, work type, front/hind shoe sizes, pads/wedges, draft status, and temperament notes.
- Deterministic price calculations: Barefoot Trim ($55), Front Shoes ($135), Full Set 4 Shoes ($195), and Therapeutic Package ($240), with automatic +$45 pad surcharge and 1.20x draft horse multiplier.
- Payment record saves once: Records service amount, tip, and method (cash, check, card recorded, or Venmo). Saving twice preserves the original payment record without creating duplicates.
- Anvil closeout & 6-week cycle reshoeing: Stores front/hind shoes used, hoof capsule condition, pathology flags (thrush, white line, cracks), and calculates an open non-conflicting reshoeing slot.
- Multi-owner barn invoicing: Split one boarding barn stop into individual boarder SMS pay-links without charging boarder cards.
- Self-serve practice setup & JSON export: Wipe the sample data to start your own practice at /onboarding or /shop, and download a JSON ledger backup anytime.
Deliberately not in this version
- In-app credit card processing or forced transaction fees (use your own Square terminal, cash, or check).
- Carrier-billed SMS broadcasts or marketing spam (arrival reminders log to the local outbox).
- Public horse owner self-scheduling portals or turn-by-turn GPS navigation.
- Hard rig locks — the plan label is $19/mo for up to 5 farriers, and adding a team farrier is never blocked at five.
